Founder of RIP.  ·  London

I founded RIP., an educational investing simulation where teenagers practise with virtual money on real market prices. My day job is finance. I am a fractional CFO and board advisor, I hold a PhD in Finance, and I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered MCSI).

Background

Earlier in my career I was a Director in emerging markets equity research at Deutsche Bank, and later Managing Director and Head of Equity and Fixed Income Research at UNLU & Co. I wrote The CFO's Playbook. I also teach emerging markets finance and valuation at Koç University. I started RIP. because I wanted young people to feel how markets move, and what a loss does to your head, before any real money is involved.

How RIP. guides are written

RIP. guides are drafted with AI assistance (Claude), under my editorial direction, and published on my authority. I am accountable for what RIP. publishes. Where a guide states a UK rule or figure, such as a Junior ISA limit, it should be checked against the official source, and if you find something out of date, tell me at support@rip.club and I will correct it.

Nothing on this site is financial advice. RIP. is an educational simulation using virtual currency, it is not authorised or regulated by the FCA, and it is not intended for under-18s to invest real money. Read more on the safety page.
