About RIP.

Why I built this

I opened Junior ISAs for both of my children, later than I should have, which is a small embarrassment given what I do for a living.

The moment there was an account with his name on it, he started asking what the market had done that day. Then why. Then whether he should have bought something else. He has opinions now, some of them wrong, all of them his.

Money he cannot touch until he is eighteen turned out to be a better financial education than anything I could have explained at the dinner table. That is what eventually made me build RIP.: an app where you can learn to read markets and back your own judgement without any real money at stake.
